This page explains what personal information The Triangle collects, how it is used and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Sign-in details. When you continue with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo.
  • Profile information. What you choose to add as an investor or founder: firm or company details, raise and check-size information, and text you write.
  • Documents. Files you upload, such as a pitch deck, and SAFE drafts and templates you save.
  • Activity. Sign-ins, sign-ups and key actions in the product, plus standard analytics about how pages are used.
  • Approximate location. When you sign up or sign in we look up the city, state and country of your internet connection from your IP address, so we know where members are. The lookup uses a third-party IP location service, and we do not store the IP address itself.

How we use it

  • To operate your account, review investor and startup profiles and make introductions.
  • To send you service emails, such as a welcome message and approval notices.
  • To keep the platform secure, prevent abuse and understand what to improve.

Where it is stored

Account and profile data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). Documents you upload to your deal room are stored in Google Drive. Member records and service emails are handled with Google Workspace tools (Google Sheets and Gmail) operated by The Triangle. Usage analytics are collected with Google Analytics.

What is public

An approved investor page is public and may be indexed by search engines. It shows only the fields you provided for it, such as firm name, location, check size and bio. Your email address is never shown on it. Startup profiles are visible only to approved investors and The Triangle team.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers that run the platform, when the law requires it, and with the people you choose to share your documents with.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time. To access, correct or delete your data, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your account removes your profile and documents, subject to records we must keep by law.
