The Triangle SAFE Program: program description
How the Triangle SAFE Program works, what it includes, and the role The Triangle plays.
Overview
The Triangle SAFE Program provides a standardized, efficient pathway for early-stage startups to raise capital from accredited investors. Headquartered at One World Trade Center in New York, The Triangle connects founders with a global network of investors while using the Triangle Combinator post-money SAFE form.
Purpose
The program is designed to reduce friction, cost, and time for both founders and investors. By standardizing documentation and process, The Triangle enables faster closes while maintaining clear legal terms governed by New York law.
How it works
- Founder submits company information and desired terms through The Triangle.
- The Triangle introduces qualified accredited investors.
- Parties execute the standard Triangle SAFE (and optional pro-rata side letter).
- Funds are transferred directly between investor and company. The Triangle is not a party to the agreement and does not hold funds.
Key features
- Triangle Combinator post-money SAFE
- New York governing law
- Optional valuation cap, discount, and pro-rata rights
- Designed for both U.S. and international accredited investors
- Headquarters and operational support at One World Trade Center
Role of The Triangle
The Triangle acts solely as a facilitator and connector. It does not issue securities, provide investment advice, or become a party to any SAFE. All investment decisions and legal obligations remain solely between the company and the investor.
Eligibility
Investors must be accredited investors under U.S. securities laws. International investors may participate subject to applicable exemptions and local requirements.
